Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
Good ground clearance; available all-wheel-drive; roomy interior; well equipped; bold styling; excellent value
The Jeep Cherokee remains essentially unchanged for 2018, though some of the trim levels have been reshuffled. Most notably the Latitude trim now occupies the lowest rung on the Jeep Cherokee ladder, while the Latitude Plus trim joins the lineup for this year.
The Cherokee is a compact SUV competing with vehicles such as the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V. Like the Cherokees that came before, the 2018 model maintains the tradition of competitive pricing and strong off-road capability starting at just under $24,000. While the Cherokee and its competitors are often offered with all-wheel drive, the Cherokee offers more aggressive off-roading equipment, such as a locking rear differential.
The 2018 Jeep Cherokee comes in several different trims — Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, High Altitude, Trailhawk, Overland and Trailhawk L Plus.
