Blackbeard’s Playhouse
This is the pirate playhouse that evokes the dreaded frigate captained by William Teach, also known as Blackbeard—Queen Anne’s Revenge. The 13 1/2′-tall backyard vessel is constructed of marine grade mahogany and cedar posts that beckon seafaring scallywags and marauding maidens to plunder the Spanish Main.
Festooned with golden-hued skulls and a hand-painted battle scar finish, the ship provokes pirate-age fun with a lower and upper deck complete with separate helms and a captain’s quarters at the stern for storing swag and charting future courses.
Its main deck provides an aspiring privateer with a three mounted cannons that play realistic sound effects and a platform for fencing while repelling boarders. A crow’s nest towers over the deck displaying Calico Jack Rackam’s Jolly Roger flag and a pair of red and white striped sails.
