GK3 Ultra: Defining the Next Era of Large-Format Resin Printing

The GK3 Ultra is a next-generation resin 3D printer designed for high productivity, catering to both demanding hobbyists and industry professionals. It boasts a colossal printing area, measuring 300 x 160 x 300mm, effectively doubling the size capacity of its predecessor, the GKtwo. This massive volume ensures that large projects or multiple components can be printed in a single run with ease. Crucially, this scale is matched by exceptional detail, thanks to the 16K LCD screen featuring an ultra-fine pixel size of 14 x 19um, guaranteeing no loss of detail even on the largest prints.

One of the printer’s most significant advancements is its Built-in Heating System. This smart feature allows users to continue printing reliably even in cold climates, with outside temperatures as low as 0 degrees C. A sensor automatically detects the resin temperature and heats it to an optimal 25 degrees C or 30 degrees C before printing begins. This proactive temperature control maintains resin consistency, which is vital for achieving successful, high-quality prints regardless of the environmental conditions.

The foundation of the GK3 Ultra’s reliable performance is its Integrated Z-axis Module. This industrial-grade construction is engineered for ultra-stability, utilizing a precision ball screw to provide higher control during printing. This design significantly reduces wobble, which in turn lowers the possibility of visible layer lines and dramatically improves the lifespan and accuracy of the machine.

For continuous, large-scale operation, the printer includes an Automatic Resin Feeder. This function automatically replenishes the resin vat as needed, a huge convenience for long, high-volume prints. By preventing resin depletion, the feeder effectively eliminates a common cause of print failure, ensuring stable output quality. The built-in resin cartridge system is also designed to be easy to load and replace, simplifying the continuous supply process.

UniFormation has also implemented several User-Friendly Designs to enhance the operator experience. It retains the popular quick-release design for the build plate and resin vat from the GKtwo. Additionally, a new side-placed hook allows users to hang the print plate after printing, letting excess resin drain neatly back into the vat. An integrated LED light further adds convenience, allowing for easy observation of the models while they are being cured. These thoughtful improvements are all designed to streamline the entire printing workflow.
