This is the exotic lamellaphone based off the classic mbira instrument used in religious ceremonies, weddings, and social gatherings throughout Africa. Also known as a kalimba, it creates ethereal sounds that are equally tranquil and enchanting by striking the thin metal keys with your thumbs—each key provides a different tone. The thumb piano is tuned to A-minor and the keys are mounted to a cherry wood soundboard. 4 1/2″ L x 3 1/2″ W x 1 1/2″ D. (7 oz.)
