This is the backyard gazebo that creates an all-weather retreat like the pavilions found throughout Scandinavia, crafted from spruce native to the region’s hardy boreal forests. The Picea abies used for the frame is pre-stained and laminated to meet EN 14080 and EN 386 material standards, ensuring outdoor enjoyment season after season. The gazebo can withstand 80-mph wind gusts, has a 28-lb. per square-foot snow load, and the structure is large enough to enclose a hot tub or a table and chairs. Almost 10′ tall at the center, the octagonal gazebo has eight floor-to-ceiling 4 mm-thick polycarbonate panels that provide a 360º view, four of which open and close to let in a breeze or seal out rain and insects. In addition to vents in the transparent roof and a wind-driven fan, the center dome can be lowered and raised for air circulation. Sturdy dual vertical posts support the gazebo’s roof, two of which are hollow so wiring can be added to install lights or speakers. Mounts on level grass or concrete.
