The Build Your Own 3 Foot USS Arizona
This is the 3′-long remote controlled model of the iconic USS Arizona sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. With over 1,000 parts, this 1:200 scale version is made with realistically molded authentic details that include engraved deck planks, railing and signal yards made from photo-etched brass, floatplanes on catapaults, and a distinct torpedo bulge built into the hull.
The illuminating observation decks atop the tripod masts and cranes come with nylon rigging. The 2.4 GHz radio remote controls the four brass props and rudder for forward/backward/left/right movement from up to 300′ away. Each of the four main turrets’ 14-inch batteries swivel left/right, raise/lower, and issue a “boom” report, accompanied by two swiveling antiaircraft guns amidships.
