The Motorized Gyro Cycle
This is the electric one-wheeled self-balancing scooter designed by Ryno Motors and inspired by the sleek lines of the modern-day motorcycle. It maintains perfect balance front to back using gyroscopic sensors yet steers like a bicycle left/right. Leaning forward results in steady acceleration to a maximum 10 mph without jolting, while leaning backward brings the cycle to a slow, steady stop. It turns smoothly when a rider pushes on the handlebars or leans subtly left/right on either of the fold-out foot pegs. Switching between Novice and Advanced modes enables owners to increase riding skill at a preferred pace. The 25″-diameter rubber motorcycle wheel grips the ground while offering minimal rolling resistance. Its 2,000-watt electric motor propels a rider weighing up to 260 lbs. for two hours from a three-hour charge of its rechargeable battery.
