The slots of conventional tracks are replaced by sophisticated artificial intelligence that determines a car’s orientation on the track, automatically compensates for angle and drift, and helps drivers cleave to the track even as they attempt tight turns and daring passes.
Competition modes allow for races between 10 and 999 laps—solo mode allows a driver to compete against an AI-controlled “pace ”car”. The 2.4 GHz wireless pistol grip controllers provide in-race announcements of lap times, race position, required pit lane visits, and even random hazards to which drivers must react.
