Hazy Wall Clock
While he was designing the Hazy Wall Clock, Ivan Kasner was inspired by blurred images. For Kasner, the images created a sense of excitement, imagination, anddespite their blurred naturea sense of clarity.
The clock features an opaque face, which recalls the experience of looking through fogged or frosted glass. As a result of the face’s opacity, the hour and minute hands are visible but slightly distorted. They appear fuzzy to the eye, causing the clock’s viewer to pause at the sight of the time. The result of the illusion is a timepiece with a dreamy and floating quality, making the Hazy clock a distinctive accent.
