Measuring a mere 22.5 millimeters wide, and weighing just 158 grams, the Samsung NX mini is an ultra-slim, lightweight camera with an interchangeable lens, so it’s easy to carry with you. The camera has a solid metal body bound by a natural, leather-like material for a modern yet elegant look.
Despite its small size, the NX mini contains a full 3-inch flip-up LCD touch screen that makes it easy to take photos of yourself.
Featuring a top shutter speed of 1/16000 second, the NX mini enables you to capture objects in motion, like a race car going around a track or a bird taking flight. You can shoot continuously at 6 frames per second (FPS) for brilliant, clear stills of fast-moving action.
Like other Samsung devices, the NX mini features Photo Beam technology, which makes it a snap to share photos. Simply tap the camera on any NFC-compatible smartphone to automatically share whichever image you’re currently viewing.
Based on NFC technology, Samsung’s Mobile Link app lets you select and send photos or albums to a designated smartphone or tablet, even when you’re away from a Wi-Fi hotspot, and without having to send the photos as a text message or an email. The app also lets you manage photos on your smartphone and save the changes automatically to the camera.
When you connect the camera to select smartphones, you can use the Remote ViewFinder app to turn your phone into a viewfinder. You can control your camera from up to 30 feet away and preview images, adjust camera settings, frame scenes, and tag shot locations. When you need to take a group shot with yourself in it, Remote ViewFinder makes it easy.
With the NX mini, you can shoot 1080p Full HD video at 30 frames per second with lifelike color and sharp details. The camera shoots video in the H.264 format, which allows you to record for longer than cameras using MJPEG.
The NX mini shoots up to ISO 25600, making it very sensitive to light. This means you can snap natural-looking photos with minimal noise and blurring, even in low-light conditions.
And for conditions with little to no light, you’ll also have the option of using the included external flash.
The included lens has a 9-27mm (24-73mm equivalent in 25mm) zoom range, providing versatility and making it an ideal walk-around lens.
The NX M Mount and included adapter allow you to use any Samsung NX lens with this camera (NX lenses sold separately).
Great for long trips or extended outings, the NX mini enables you to take up to 530 photos or up to 265 minutes of video on a single battery charge.
Install Samsung’s Home Monitor app on your smartphone, and you can use the NX mini as a baby monitor. If you child wakes up and cries, the camera immediately sends a notification to your phone.
An ideal companion for the NX mini, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 allows you to bring out all the details in photos, resulting in crisp, professional-looking shots. This software lets you organize photos by location with GPS tagging. You can also view and make adjustments to video clips, turn them into still images, or trim and edit them.
