The SeaWolf-class of submarines are nuclear-powered fast attack submarines which are in service with the United States Navy. Designed to combat the threat of large numbers of advanced Soviet submarines such as the Typhoon class submarines, the “SeaWolf†class is equipped with 8 torpedo tubes and is able to carry up to 50 UGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missiles for attacking land and sea surface targets. Each boat is powered by a single S6W nuclear reactor, delivering 45.000 HP to a low-noise pump-jet and reached a building cost of approximately 2.8 Billion USB.
