The Clinical Muscle Toner
This is the device that uses electronic muscle stimulation (EMS) to tone and firm the body as one relaxes in a chair. Employing clinical technology used by physical therapists for rebuilding atrophied and weakened muscles, the device delivers a painless electrical pulse to key nerves, causing nearby muscles to rhythmically contract and release, boosting their tone.
The handheld activator connects to interchangeable toners (required, sold separately below) that target specific muscle groups and are secured by hook-and-loop fasteners. Users control intensity level and program/session length from the activator, building up to five 10- to 40-minute sessions per week depending on the area targeted. Its screen displays information about current and previous sessions and remaining battery life.
