Tavern Bowling Game
Faithful to its predecessor, this game challenges players to slide a 2 7/8″ diameter chromed steel puck down the game’s waxed formica lane to strike ten 10 1/4″-tall pins that “crash” just like the original. Providing the same visual effect with modern accuracy–the pins raise up when struck–this model replaces older roll-over switches with magnetic reed switches imbedded into the playing surface beneath each pin, activated by the over-passing puck.
It plays regulation bowling using standard ABC scoring rules as well as six additional variations, including “shadow” that raises the pins and dims all lights for “blind” bowling and “3-6-9″ that awards automatic strikes on frames, three, six, and nine. A 27” LCD with 1600 x 900 resolution automatically keeps score, provides best shot suggestions, strikes, turkeys, and frame replays with commentary by PBA Champion Parker Bohn III.
