This device uses safe ultraviolet light–the same technology trusted to sanitize hospital instruments–to eliminate up to 99.9% of the germs that accumulate on a smartphone. Two UV bulbs inside the case emit germicidal light to kill bacteria and viruses like H1N1, Streptococcus, E. coli, and Salmonella in five minutes.
